CLASSES OFFERED:

 

TACTICAL EMERGENCY CASUALTY CARE (TECC) ACTIVE BYSTANDER

Developed for the general public, this course will give you the skills to identify, assess, and treat individuals injured by penetrating trauma. Utilizing the Committee for TECC’s Active Bystander guidelines, come learn how to save a life and also, have the mental tools to do it with confidence.

Skills covered: Tourniquets, wound packing, stop-gap measures including proximal external aortic compression, manual airway opening, recovery position, chest seals, hypothermia prevention, shock assessment, and more. 

TECC FIRST RESPONDERS WITH A DUTY TO ACT

Developed for firefighters and law enforcement without medical training. No first responder should be in a hazardous environment without the ability to save themselves or others. Utilizing the Committee for TECC’s First Responders with a Duty to Act guidelines, let us teach you the skills to save a life, maybe even your own.

Skills covered: Blood sweep, tourniquets, wound packing, stop-gap measures including proximal external aortic compression, manual airway opening, recovery position, chest seals, shock assessment, hypothermia prevention, field triage, and more. 

TECC BLS/ALS MEDICAL PROVIDERS

Developed for first responders with medical training, this course will teach you the Committee for TECCs BLS/ALS Medical Providers guidelines and the treatment modalities recommended by them.

Skills covered: Blood sweep, tourniquets, wound packing, stop-gap measures including proximal external aortic compression, surgical cricothyrotomy, recovery position, chest seals, needle decompression, TXA administration, hypothermia prevention, field triage, and more. 

K9 TECC (LAW ENFORCEMENT OR CIVILIAN VERSIONS AVAILABLE)

Whether your K9 partner patrols a beat in a police cruiser or just your fence line, we owe it to our loyal K9s to have the skills to save their lives if they should become injured. In this course we will cover the Committee on TECC’s guidelines on K9 care and teach you the treatment modalities recommended in them specific to K9s.

Topics covered: hemorrhage control, opening airways, chest trauma, hypothermia prevention, heat injuries, gastric dilatation volvulus, CPR and more.

BEFORE 911 ARRIVES, BLEEDING CONTROL AND MEDICAL EMERGENCIES

Focusing on injuries and medical emergencies that one could expect to encounter in a typical commercial/public/retail setting, you’ll leave this course with the tools to stop external bleeding and a base understanding of the mechanisms of a heart attack, stroke, heat illnesses, and more. Also, how to recognize these conditions and what you can do to help “before 911 arrives.”
